It all depends on what a person really wants
out of his / her LIFE ?

Would you take a few millions and be stranded
on some remote vermin-infested island that is
far away from civilisation ?
"Fat chance !"......did I hear you say ?

Obviously, money is worth having only when one
can splurge it !!

Spend a few minutes in contemplation and you'll
find that MONEY is not a worthwhile goal - yet
you will undoubtedly need money and also earn a
lot of it in your life !!

So, how to solve this puzzle ?

Think and maybe you'll find your own answers !!

Stay Happy - Celebrate Small Joys !!

Today, November 1, 2007 is the 30th anniversary of this
BLOG writer's first day on any type of salary earning job !

It also happens to mark the 33rd Foundation Day ( 32nd
anniversary) for Coal India Limited, 7th Anniversary
for the Indian state of Chhattisgarh and the inaugural day
of a brand new division of Southern Railway.

Perhaps, it is Aishwarya Rai's birthday too !!
It certainly is the birthday of a sweet little girl I had fallen
in love with. That she fell out of love with me is a regret of
my life BUT then, one must move on !!

What Rainbows Are We Chasing ?

The real purpose of this blog today is not to reminisce but to
discuss ( or merely to express individual viewpoint only ?? )
the merits and demerits of going too fast forward in search of
that elusive rainbow : MONEY, FAME or SUCCESS,
whatever it is that one gets overtly excited about !!

Read on to get a greater insight into the constant conflict that
arises between HONESTY and AVARICE ( GREED ).

A Point to DEBATE

The debate that I wish to initiate today
( Ref : Reuben Singh story below)
is whether it is really worthwhile to sacrifice your principles,
be amoral and dishonest, in one's pursuit of money ?

Perhaps I may not be the person best qualified to start this
debate since I am yet (?) to earn my millions - whether
dishonestly or otherwise BUT one thing that I can say with
some conviction is that :

One can achieve anything one dreams about with
some passion - only some EFFORT ........ sincere
and unflinching , is all it takes !!

Also, as we all must've read about as children ,
SLOW & STEADY WINS THE RACE !!

What Price SUCCESS ??

The newspapers today {TOI ; 1/11/2007 ; p.18} carry a somewhat
disturbing report about U.K. born Reuben Singh who once got into
The Guiness Book of World Records as the world's youngest
ever self-made millionaire.
Reuben Singh, now 31, has not only been declared bankrupt but is
also being accused of fraud and deception.
Evidently, he fudged a few facts to dupe the Bank of Scotland to the
tune of Str.Pds.900,000 some years ago.
